Yemen PM Says Breaking Siege Next Phase, Warns Zionist Project Threatens Entire Region

Acting Prime Minister Mohammed Ahmed Muftah said Yemen’s recent military operations are part of the broader confrontation with the American-Zionist alliance, stressing that Yemen has been engaged in this struggle for more than twelve years under continued aggression and blockade.

Hawzah News Agency- In an interview with Al Masirah TV, Muftah said the central objective of the next stage will be "breaking the siege," arguing that the blockades imposed on Yemen, Iran, and resistance movements are part of Western efforts to entrench American and Zionist dominance over the region and its resources.

He maintained that the Zionist project extends beyond members of the resistance axis and poses a threat to countries across the region. According to Muftah, Pakistan could become the next target after Iran, followed by other regional states including Egypt, Türkiye, and Algeria.

Muftah also expressed skepticism about the prospects for lasting stability through any future agreement between Iran and the United States, arguing that the Zionist entity continues to pursue its regional agenda through political, military, economic, and security instruments.

Addressing regional politics, he said some Gulf governments have become fully integrated into the American-Zionist project, while praising other countries that he described as maintaining a more independent foreign policy.

On domestic affairs, Muftah said the government in Sana'a is working to lay the foundations for economic and scientific development despite ongoing blockade conditions, adding that the results of these efforts will become visible in the coming period.

The remarks come amid escalating regional tensions following renewed military exchanges involving Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, and the Israeli enemy. Yemeni authorities have recently announced missile operations against targets in occupied Palestine and declared restrictions on Israeli-linked navigation in the Red Sea, describing the measures as part of support for the Palestinian people and resistance movements. Yemeni officials have repeatedly argued that the ongoing blockade on Yemen is linked to wider Western and Israeli efforts to reshape the region and maintain strategic dominance over its political and economic resources.
